Today April 15, our country celebrates the Day of the Poet Peruvian in different parts of the world through concerts and poetry marathons in each of the Casas del Poeta Peruano .
was in a Congress of Poets gathered at the Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos , in the year 1985 , we chose this date to recognize the Poets of our Peru.
The Law No. 24,616 provides that the April 15 of each year marks the "Poet's Day Peruano a posthumous homage to César Abraham Vallejo Mendoza . Also, establishing the Casa del Poeta Peruano .
Importance to celebrate this date is found in recognizing poets of the past, present and encourage new generations to build through art of the written word messages perceived sensitivity, always committed to his time .
For this celebration, many poets read their creations , there will be performances by musical ensembles and poems sale by its authors ... It is appropriate also many poets are disclosed and share your poetry with other poets .
La Casa del Poeta has headquarters in Arequipa, Callao, Chimbote, Huaraz, Lima, Paita, Pucallpa, Tacna, Trujillo, Tumbes, and Representation in Cusco, La Paz (Bolivia) and Valparaiso (Chile).
